Shipwrecked Books, Bar & Café is an owner operated establishment located steps away from the beautiful Hudson River in Coxsackie, New York. We are a coffee shop by day, a bar by night and a bookshop always.

Grab and go breakfasts during the week and a full breakfast menu on the weekend.
Every Saturday, we make fresh, homemade bagels from scratch and begin serving them right out of the oven at 9am.

What are your hours?

We are open Wednesday through Friday 8am - 12pm and then we open back up at 5pm-9pm.

Saturdays and Sundays we are open 9am - 2pm.

Do you take reservations?

For the cafe or bar seating it is first come first serve, however for special events you may purchase tickets found on the events page of our website.

Are the books you sell new or used?

It's a mixture of new and used titles.

We accept donations of quality paperbacks (no mass markets) and we pay in coffee tokens.

There is also a free book swap cart outside that people can contribute to or take from, anytime

Can I host a book reading?

Absolutely! Just use our contact form found on the "contact us" page of our website to let us know what you have in mind!

What kind of food do you serve?

Grab-and-go during the week.

Full breakfast menu on the weekends.

Small plate specials during our bar hours. Call or check social media for nightly offerings.

Do I need to purchase tickets for your events?

Not all of our events cost money. Please visit our events page to obtain tickets in order to reserve your spot. Some events are free while others cost a fee. Check out our upcoming events page to see what's happening next!
